Energy-efficient lighting of the suspension bridge in Rochsburg
At any time of the year, countless hikers cross the Rochsburg suspension bridge. Many important routes of the hiking trail network cross this bridge. The city council decided to build a new bridge, which was completed in the fall of 2011. Among other things, efficient lighting was to be installed. The goal for the builder was also not to disfigure the silhouette of the delicate structure with lampposts. On the old bridge, two street lights were originally installed on the pylons, but they did not adequately illuminate the roadway across the river. The center remained dark and at the same time the glaring lights blinded pedestrians.
This is now a thing of the past with the new lighting. The roadway is now illuminated evenly and without glare. In addition, the four 19.8 W spotlight strips in the pylons illuminate the structure in such a way that the "little blue wonder" of Rochsburg can be seen from a distance in the dark.
To this day, the P-lamps are in use without complaint. The lamps even survived the flood in 2013 without any damage and continue to shine unimpressed.
